Taxi
Taxi ranks can be found outside most train stations, bus stations and airports. In the event that they cannot be found, Radio Taxis are available upon request. Radio Taxi meters start running from the moment you call them rather than when you are picked up. Prices vary from region to region, but most short journeys vary from €10 - €15.
IT IS STRONGLY ADVISED TO USE ONLY OFFICIAL TAXIS WHICH ARE EASILY IDENTIFIABLE. IGNORE OFFERS FROM DRIVERS OF PRIVATE CARS WHO OFTEN LOITER AROUND AIRPORTS AND RAILWAY STATIONS.
Extra charges: Night service supplement between 10 pm and 6 am. Sunday and holiday supplement + luggage (per item).For taxi trips outside the city boundaries, fares will be based on distance.
Uber is not very popular in Italy, however Uber Black has only recently become available in Rome and Milan. An alternative app is MyTaxi.
